The Orroroo Football Association was inaugurated in 1914 and consisted of two teams from Orroroo, Emus and Kangaroos, plus a team from Pekina. In 1915, the Orroroo clubs experienced a drop in numbers due to players enlisting in the armed forces so they combined and played patriotic matches under the Orroroo banner.
Morchard left in 1921 and applications to join the association from Eurelia and Pekina were both refused as the season program had already been drawn up. 1921 saw three new Orroroo based clubs compete for the premiership, Warriors, Rovers and Ramblers. The new competition never got off the ground and inter town matches continued to be played against teams including Quorn, Petersburg and Burra.
Wilmington attended the 1923 annual general meeting with a view to joining the competition but decided to remain with Mount Remarkable. In 1924 Rovers and Ramblers disbanded in favour of reforming the Orroroo Football Club and affiliating with the Flinders Football Association.
