In 1922 the Strathalbyn B Grade Football Club invited delegates from the Milang and Langhorne Creek clubs to attend a meeting to discuss the possibility of forming an association. Mr L E Stirling of Strathalbyn was elected president of the new association, Mr J MacCheriton from Belvidere was chosen as vice president and Mr P G Martin was elected as secretary treasurer. Mr Ern Williams from Milang was elected as Patron, Vice Patrons were Dr H H Formby – Strathalbyn, Mr S Collett – Finniss, Mr Louis Potts – Langhorne Creek and Mr B H Burgess – Milang.
The association was dissolved in 1924 but Milang, Langhorne Creek and the Strathalbyn B team continued playing matches against each other. The Strathalbyn B team was now also known as Strathalbyn Rovers. Matches were also played against teams such as Belvidere and Narrung as well, Finniss however played very few matches in 1924.
