Yorke Peninsula zone, 1909 to 1921
The Central Yorke Peninsula Football Association was formed in 1909 with the founding clubs being Brentwood, Curramulka, Port Vincent and Minlaton. Crowd numbers were down when Curramulka and Minlaton met in the 1910 grand final. The Royal Adelaide Show was the reason for the smaller than normal crowd however, the barracking was as loud as has been heard in the history of the association. The Curramulka supporters lifted their team over the line by five points. The proprietor of the Curramulka Hotel gave a free dinner to players and supporters in honour of the clubs achievement.
