Hills (Div. IV)

Hills zone, 1972 to 1973

Formation

Leading into the 1972 season, the Hills Football League decided that the geographical divisional zones were beginning to create an uneven competition. In a move designed to create more interest and a better contest, the league created four new divisions. The smaller clubs of the Hills league were entered into Divisions III and IV. Most of these clubs with a few exceptions were from the Southern Hills area.

In 1974, the Division IV section was closed down when Palmer disbanded, and Lenswood Rangers and Mount Torrens went to the Division II competition to save on traveling. The remaining three clubs Macclesfield, Bridgewater and Bremer joined Division III, with Bremer placed in the B grade.
