Yorke Peninsula zone, 1911 to 1936
Delegates from the Wallaroo II, Kadina II, Newtown and Wallaroo Swimmers Football Clubs met at Kadina in 1911 to form the Kadina and Wallaroo Junior Football Association. The aim of the association was to raise the standard of junior football to a level to prepare ready made footballers for senior football ranks.
At the beginning of 1937, the association only had three teams nominate for the coming season. Reluctant to proceed with just three teams, the association delegates were quick to act when they discovered that the Moonta Junior association had only one team nominate for the 1937 season. Merger discussions began immediately.
